There is a silent revolution happening in the world right now. A shift in energy, a defiant consciousness, voices speaking out and standing up.

Have you felt it? Are you a part of it?

I’m talking about feminine energy.

This is our time. Our time to speak up, change perceptions and step into our power. Weinstein. Cosby. Kavanaugh #MeToo. We’ve had enough, and we want the world to hear. We have fury and rage that we have kept inside for too long for the sake of compliance. Shame. Isolation.

There is a shift in business too: a place that has long been considered a man’s world. Women in the workplace are starting to realise that they don’t have to emulate men in order to succeed. For so long we have felt that we have to compete: to push harder, drive sales and be aggressive in order to climb the corporate ladder. I know, I’ve been there and done that. It was NOT a good look on me.

There are more women than ever starting their own businesses. We finally realise that we don’t need to sacrifice our lifestyle, income and family in order to succeed. It IS possible to have it all, and we deserve that and more. We no longer have to play the man’s game in order to get ahead.

Male energy is recognizable as the naturally aggressive “hunter”. You know the type: great at sales, at getting recognized, constantly pushing, driving. It’s the hustle, the effort, the getting shit done. Statistics, numbers, money and outcomes. It’s when we’re energetically in our head-space.

Women are the “gatherers”. We naturally create a tribe, a family from wherever we are, we create a collection of like-minded souls that take us home.

Feminine energy is natural to us, it’s when we lead with our hearts, not our heads. We are naturally empaths, healers, spiritual beings. Our gifts are understanding, compassion, love and intuition.  When we go against our natural female energy, nothing flows – often feeling like we’re swimming upstream and never getting anywhere, and it’s exhausting. It can affect our income, our health, even our sex lives.

So what can we do about it?

As female entrepreneurs, it’s easy to get stuck in our heads.

I have started a few businesses and courses over the years. I’m naturally a doer, I love research and stats and I love having a plan. I can do a lot in a day, and I push myself hard, constantly learning, following what other people have done, pushing to emulate their success, working on conversion rates and the shiny money. I’ve also wondered why these projects haven’t sat well with me, and why I feel uncomfortable to promote them.

That’s when I realized that it isn’t about the to-do lists and tick boxes, it’s about the energy I put out, and the natural flow of the universe that I was blocking. Most importantly, it’s about how I can SERVE. Understanding my WHY’s of my business: what drives my biggest dreams for my lifestyle, the people I work with, the community I want to create. Knowing that I can help women build lifestyle-lead empires is what drives me.

When I think about these things, I can feel the fire in my belly. I feel the vibrations of love and energy and passion and I just KNOW that this is my calling. THIS is my female energy, and it’s what sits right in my soul.

We all have elements of male and female energy, the yin and the yang.

The sweet spot comes from understanding what you get from both energies using them effectively to help you achieve your goals. Female energy is what we need to ground and re-center ourselves, while tapping into our male energy allows us to get stuff done.

Alternate between the action and the flow:

FEMININE ENERGY
Being generates the fuel for Doing. Before you start anything, get connected with who you are. Sit in your stillness, meditate, do what feeds your soul. Connect with Source, the Universe, God, whatever it is that centers you, and really understand what it is that you want. Get below the conscious mind and recognize your inner power. Ask yourself:

Who do you want to be in this world?
What do you want to achieve?
How can you serve others?

It may not come to you immediately, but in the stillness you can often see your compass. Use this energy to create a vision for your lifestyle, your community and your business, you’ll know what feels right for you.

Continuously remind yourself that we’re in this for the dream lifestyle, not just the dream business. Use your intuition and heart to guide you on daily decisions. Nurture yourself and do what gets you in your flow: for me that’s eating the right foods, daily meditation, movement, getting enough sleep and spending time with people who feed my soul.

MASCULINE ENERGY
Use this energy to create specific goals. Use your effort and hustle to find our HOW you can serve people and work tirelessly towards it. Experiment, research, drive. Keep your focus and take actionable steps to achieve your goals.

Continuously set new intentions and get out of your comfort zone! Be deliberate, but get rid of the time frame. Just commit to your actions daily and stay in alignment to your vision.

Flow

By flowing between these two states, you will have no option other than to stay grounded in who you are.

Guarding your integrity and aligning your actions with your sole purpose means that you’re not only committing to your business, but to yourself as well. It’s also important to surround yourself with people of both energy types: those who drive you, push you to be better and those who nurture you and give you a safe place to fall.

Now is the time, ladies!

We will no longer be contained, quietened, overlooked. We can shape the future of business. Recognize your fierceness, don’t ignore your emotions, and when you step into your power, shout about it!
